Question 1
Hello my dear poets,
Recently I had an old flame come back into my life. We connect in a way that feels very giddy and intense and maybe even a little scary—our backgrounds are similar in ways that seem to push the boundaries of coincidence, and he is the only person with whom I feel like I never have to explain myself. When we touch it's truly magical, like all the chemicals in my body arrange themselves perfectly. The only reason we stopped seeing each other was that he moved away, and both of us agreed anything long-distance wouldn't be sustainable.
So, we have a great intellectual and physical bond. But emotionally, we are on different planets. I love to go out and have fun, but ultimately I am a Scorpio and I need to feel some ownership. He is a Gemini, and is about as easy to hold onto as a dandelion seed. I told him I loved him within a month of us being together, which was a drunken mistake, and he did not reciprocate. But he kept seeing me, and by the end of our affair he told me he loved me too. When he moved away, I was ready to mark it down as a whirlwind romance and move on. We've talked maybe once a month since he left town.
Imagine my surprise when he lets me know he'll be in town for a single night (as he is moving across the country again) and wants to see me. We had a perfect evening out that reinvigorated all my feelings for him, plus he told me I'm the only boy he's ever loved, which is exactly the kind of bullshit that makes me sink deeper into the quicksand of this relationship. With this sort of thing, I can never tell whether he is being genuine or just trying to make me happy.
What I want to know--do I force myself to leave this relationship behind, or is there a real connection here that deserves to be nurtured? Is it even possible to nurture a Gemini or do you just have to let them land on you softly like so many butterflies? Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Dear Scorpio,
First of all, this is beautiful. And no matter what happens, you’ve had a beautiful experience. How lucky, right?
Don’t let this go.
Geminis are not as expressive as fire signs and certainly not as brooding and pensive as water signs. They are the most outgoing air sign, and someone you can have fun with always, but to get to their core…it takes a lot of time. And even then — if what you want is someone to tell you they adore you and live with you getting deep on a daily level — they aren’t your sign.
That said, I’m not sure anyone wants that. Let’s get real. Part of what is so fun about Geminis is that they are so carefree.
Having a mystical, magical connection with anyone in this life, regardless of sign, is just so rare. Scorpio and Gemini are a very solid match. Your moon is in Cancer, so you want to burrow in even deeper. And his moon is in Libra, so he is being blown about out there even more (no pun intended). But that’s the beauty of this. He sees something in you that he does not have in himself, nor can he provide. And you do the same with him. Difference is actually the beginning of every great love story. And that is why love is the great mystery of our time. It evades all the rules and social trappings.
Your Mercury in Sagittarius and his Mercury in Gemini are extremely compatible. That means you two communicate very well. Easy, breezy, fun and beautiful. Communication counts for everything. And while you will always be the more intense one, he actually truly loves that. And I think you might too overtime. You really don’t need another mega intense water sign following you around. He’ll be able to give you a sense of freedom you don’t always know you want.
Follow this.
