Question 1
Hi!
I'm a huge fan of you both! I devoured the Astro Poets book in less than two days.
These are my major placements:
Sun: Virgo Moon: Aquarius Rising: Gemini Venus: Leo Mars: Aries Mercury: Libra
My biggest question revolves around career and finances, and if I can sneak in a second one, it's about love and romance.
I'm currently throwing myself all into developing my business. I'm transitioning from seeing myself as a freelancer who accepts gigs here and there as they come, to a full editorial and photography creative business that promotes the services I can offer the general public while seeking out new clients. This is all very new to me - moving from worker-bee mentality (albeit self-disciplined and highly independent) to go-getter entrepreneur. There are so many things I am trying to think through and organize and I'm getting lost in the weeds a bit. I've hired a social media agency to help with that side of it, but I'm wondering if I should seek out a broader creative business coach or just continue plugging away on my own (the only way out is through?). I'm trying to balance needing money asap with wanting to build a solid foundation for my business. I'm feeling a little (a lot) stressed and overwhelmed - what should I focus on right now in terms of career and finances?
Also, when is my boo/boyfriend/life partner/husband/soulmate/true love coming?! I can (and probably will, eventually) write a whole book on all the first dates I've gone on. But I'm ready for my one already. My BFF. My ride or die. When's he coming? And what can I do to better my chances of meeting him?
ETERNAL GRATITUDE AND LOVE TO YOU BOTH!
<3 a Virgo
Dear Virgo,
We love you! Thank you for reading our book. We have another one in the works, so hopefully you like that one too.
Virgos are great signs at starting a business. They are organized, meticulous, and as you are finding, over-thinkers. Don’t let this stop you. You will do great!
The beginning of anything will feel overwhelming. The key is to be consistent, and keep going every day, even if it isn’t your best or enough (in your mind)—just keep putting something up on that scoreboard. Keep working! Make sure not a day goes by where there isn’t an hour or two or three, set aside to working toward your goal. Small progress leads to big results. Take courage in that. As a Virgo, you need to feel like you’re building incrementally. This will have you inspired to keep going.
Delegating out tasks to others and getting help is very smart. Virgos sometimes have trouble doing this because they can be a bit controlling and want to do everything themselves since, yes, they do it better than everyone else! A curse and a blessing.
But absolutely get help from an outside agency or company in the first six months. Keep doing freelance gigs as you do this, however, as best you can. Know that the first months or even half a year of building something, you’ll have to take on the old work you usually do (freelance) and the new work (the business) at the same time. This will more or less become your life and take up your time until things get easier. But the key is the juggle both and know it won’t be forever. Try waking up two hours earlier than you are used to and devoting an hour and a half of that “new” time to your end goal. You can also do this with going to bed later, at the end of the day — but at the top of the day when you have more energy works best.
Your Aquarius moon makes you highly inventive. And your Gemini rising points to how good with people you are. Both of these qualities are excellent for starting the type of business you’ve outlined. Your Virgo sun will also keep everything in check in terms of numbers, deadlines, etc.
As far as love, your Venus (which rules love) is in Leo. That tells us that you are waiting for an all consuming, stable, grandiose kind of love. It’s not easy to find this so it makes sense you’ve been looking for a while. As a Virgo sun with a Venus in Leo, you’ll probably really get along with Aries, Gemini, Scorpio, and Leo. But to be honest, it’s not so much a particular sign that will fit you perfectly, it’s a person who understands your need to be independent financially and otherwise, while also relying on a deep love and foundation at home, in your personal life. Look for people who have water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) or fire moons (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius). They are definitely out there!
Timing surprises all of us. It’s just like business though…if you keep going, and if you keep looking, the future arrives. If you don’t, well the chances are zero then, no?
Write us again and give us an update and feel free to ask us something more!

Question 2
dear astropoets,
my best friend died unexpectedly in december 2021. she was 30. we are both scorpios and her birthday (october 24) is five days before mine. since her death, i have thought a lot about what it means to grieve well and have tried to be intentional with where and how i direct my grief. languaging/practicing grief in thoughtful ways feels especially pressing as scorpio season looms.
i have a few questions based on our charts and would be so grateful for your collective input. does anything jump out that explains or speaks to the depth of our friendship/connection? based on our charts, are there any mourning rituals or practices that might be more potent or instructive than others? (for context, i am pretty regularly pulling tarot to 'talk' to her). and, last but not least, are there poems or poets that you would recommend for someone who is trying to find presence in absence?
love,
a scorpio
her chart

my chart
sun: scorpio moon: sagittarius rising: capricorn mercury: sagittarius venus: sagittarius mars: cancer
Dear Scorpio,
We are so sorry to hear about your friend. It’s so beautiful to read these words and see just how meaningful this friendship still is and will continue to be for you.
Looking at your charts it makes a lot of sense why you two became close. You both have very powerful moons. Hers in Taurus and yours in Sagittarius. Both of these moons make a person strong-willed and unafraid. Most importantly, they cut through the bullshit and make for a friendship that goes to the heart of things. You two could just get to the matter at hand very quickly and feel like you are speaking to the most important parts of your being. There was no performing or beating around the bush. Your rising signs are also both in earth energies which makes you reliable listeners for one another. Listeners who take in and think deeply on what they have heard, without judgement, and without being afraid to give advice that may run contrary to what the other “wants” or “needs” to here. In other words, you’re both invested in truth, as hard as it can be sometimes.
A great poetry book to read on loss and life is Marie Howe’s What The Living Do. She is a Libra poet (with a lot of Scorpio energy in her chart though), and the poems are truly from the heart and quite evocative.
A great way to communicate with a Scorpio in another world is to write them letters and leave them in places you two shared. It could be somewhere outside. It could be an alter to your friendship. It could be places you guys frequented. It could be her former neighborhood. Scorpios are nostalgic and love the idea of home or familiar places. They are often looking in those places still.
It would also be great for you to get a smokey quartz crystal and write with it near you when you write these letters. Or when you pull Tarot and talk with her. Smokey quartz has its way of connecting you to what’s on the other side of the veil. It is a very powerful crystal. Use it when you are doing anything, or thinking on anything, where you are trying to feel closer to your friendship. And that friendship is very much still there, in another form.
So much love,
The Astro Poets
