Who are the Astro Poets?

Alex Dimitrov is the author of three books of poetry including, Love and Other Poems, Together and by Ourselves, Begging for It, and the chapbook American Boys. On Twitter he writes an endless poem called “Love” in real time, one tweet a day. With Dorothea Lasky he co-founded Astro Poets and is the co-author of Astro Poets: Your Guides to the Zodiac. He lives in New York City.

Dorothea Lasky is the author of seven books of poetry and prose, including The Shining and Animal. With Alex Dimitrov, she co-authored Astro Poets: Your Guides to the Zodiac (Flatiron Books). Currently, she lives in New York City. 

What will we write about?

We’re very excited you’re here!

We’ll be sharing horoscopes (weekly & monthly), poems that have helped us and poems that we love, imaginative interpretations of the full and new moon cycles, and some mysterious surprises (audio poems, photos, etc).

We’ll also be writing our new book here (in real time and going straight to your inbox). You’re the first people who’ll see it as it comes together! The book is about romantic compatibility between every astrological pair. So if you’re a Capricorn, we’ll tell you how you match up with every other sign, including your own. And if you’re not a Capricorn, we’ll tell you that, too! Each astrological pair (Capricorn-Aries, Capricorn-Taurus, Capricorn-Gemini, etc), will have their own chapter/post. We will get to everyone!

We’ve always wanted to write this book. Not only because we’re interested in helping people with romantic compatibility and with getting to know themselves and others, but because it’s one doorway to the imagination at large, which we believe in most of all.
